TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH OFFERING HIGH CALIBER ART EXHIBITS, SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL ARTISTS, AND PROVIDING EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES.

PENCE ART GALLERYJULY 2021 - JUNE 2022 (FISCAL YEAR 2022)NATALIE NELSON, DIRECTORTHE PENCE SERVED 13,070 PEOPLE ON-SITE AND ONLINE, THROUGH GALLERY VISITS, PROGRAMS, AND EVENTS. IN OUR YOUTH PROGRAMS, WE SERVED 568 STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS. WE FACILITATED A DIVERSE RANGE OF HANDS-ON ART WORKSHOPS, TALKS, AND DEMONSTRATIONS FOR 648 ADULTS. THROUGH OUR AMBITIOUS EXHIBIT PROGRAM, WE OFFERED 255 ARTISTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXHIBIT IN SOLO AND GROUP EXHIBITS.THE PENCE GALLERY RESUMED ALL PROGRAMS IN PERSON AT THE GALLERY, EXCEPT FOR OUR ART HISTORY LECTURE SERIES, WHICH TAKES PLACE VIRTUALLY TO ACCOMMODATE AN AUDIENCE OUTSIDE OF OUR GEOGRAPHIC REGION. WE ENHANCED OUR OUTREACH BY ADDING ANOTHER SCHOOL IN WOODLAND TO OUR ROSTER OF SCHOOLS SERVED IN YOLO COUNTY. IN ADDITION, WE REACHED OUT TO EMERGING ARTISTS AGES 14-26, WHO PARTICIPATED IN TWO INNOVATIVE 'NIGHT MARKETS,' WHERE THEY SOLD THEIR ART DIRECTLY TO THE PUBLIC. IN ALL, IT WAS A BUSY YEAR, WITH THE PENCE SERVING 42% MORE VISITORS THAN LAST YEAR, DUE TO THE LIFTING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS.
