NETWORKING - NETWORKING CONTINUES TO BE A PRIMARY BENEFIT FOR OUR MEMBERS. IN 2021 THE CHAMBER BEGIN HOSTING IN PERSON EVENTS AS WE MOVED SLOWLY OUT OF THE PANDEMIC AND RESTRICTIONS. THIS WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO PROVIDE NETWORKING DURING THE YEAR TO HELP OUR MEMBERS STAY CONNECTED. WE STILL WERE ABLE TO HOST SOME OF OUR TWIN CITIES YOUNG PROFESSIONALS SUMMIT AS A VIRTUAL ONE DAY CONFERENCE. PLUS, WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH SOME OF OUR BUSINESS SEMINARS AS WELL.
PUBLIC POLICY - THE CHAMBER ADVOCATES ON BEHALF OF ITS BUSINESS MEMBERS ON LOCAL, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL ISSUES. IN 2021 WE WERE VERY ACTIVE WITH MEETING WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS AND SHARING OUR BUSINESSES CONCERNS AND ISSUES WITH THEM. THROUGH A STRONG CONNECTION TO THE LOCAL EDEN PRAIRIE GOVERNMENT AS WELL AS OUR DISTRICT AND STATE OFFICIALS, THE CHAMBER CAN OFFER A DIRECT ROUTE TO GETTING INVOLVED WITH PUBLIC POLICY AND HAVING YOUR BUSINESS VOICE HEARD.
COMMUNITY BUILDING - IN 2021, THE CHAMBER CONTINUED TO PUBLISH OUR DIRECTORY AND COMMUNITY GUIDE INTO ONE PUBLICATION. THIS PUBLICATION IS BEING DISTRIBUTED THROUGH HOTELS, THE CITY OFFICES AND AT OUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS WELCOME CENTER. THE CHAMBER CONTINUES ITS EFFORTS IN BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY INCLUDING GIVING OUT ANOTHER $3,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO HELP FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF TWO LOCAL STUDENTS. WE ALSO CONTINUED TO HAVE OUR FUTURE LEADERS/STUDENT MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM. AS THE FIRST CHAMBER IN THE NATION TO OFFER THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS, OUR PROGRAM HAS HELPED YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS AND BUSINESS PEOPLE LEARN HOW TO NETWORK, ENGAGE, DO BUSINESS, AND EVEN DRESS PROPERLY IN THE "REAL WORLD."
