THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED AS A WAY OF SUPPORTING EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS IN THE LEAVENWORTH COMMUNITY THAT MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BECOME A REALITY. IT IS SUPPORTED BY INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS WHO SEEK TO EXPAND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE LEAVENWORTH COMMUNITY. WE PARTNER WITH THE COMMUNITY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR STUDENTS. WE ARE PROUD SUPPORTERS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, ENCOURAGE TURNING IDEAS INTO ACTION AND WE BELIEVE THE GIFTS WE GIVE TODAY BUILDS A BETTER TOMORROW.

THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED STUDENT FOCUSED AND TEACHER LED PROGRAMS IN THE LEAVENWORTH PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT INCLUDING $4,000 ASPIRATION AND COLLEGE PREPARATION, $10,000 AVID GRANT, $42,386 FOR INNOVATIVE TEACHER GRANTS TO SUPPORT IN-CLASS AND AFTER SCHOOL LEARNING PROGRAMS, $6,000 FOR STEM FOCUSED AFTER SCHOOL PROJECTS, $2,000 FOR HIGH SCHOOL DECISION MAKING PROGRAM AT TRUMAN MUSEUM WHITE HOUSE DECISION MAKING, $5,000 BACK-PACK BUDDIES, $11,500 FAMILY STUDENT ENGAGEMENT, AND $4,500 FOR CHARACTER EMPHASIS AND GOOD CITIZEN STUDENT PROGRAMS AT EACH SCHOOL.
