TO FIND TREATMENTS AND A CURE FOR THE RARE CANCER, EPITHELIOID HEMANGIOENDOTHELIOMA (EHE), BY ADVANCING RESEARCH AND DRIVING COLLABORATION BETWEEN PATIENTS, RESEARCHERS, AND CLINICIANS.

RESEARCH: THE EHE FOUNDATION FUNDED RESEARCH PROJECTS IN BASIC AND TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE AIMED TO ADVANCE KNOWLEDGE IN THE DISEASE, ENABLING THE IDENTIFICATION OF EFFECTIVE TREATMENTS FOR EHE. IN ADDITION TO FUNDING EXTERNAL RESEARCH, THE FOUNDATION FUNDED AND ADVANCED PATIENT-LED RESEARCH INITIATIVES INCLUDING BIOBANKING OF EHE BIOSPECIMENS, DEVELPMENT OF A GLOBAL PATIENT REGISTRY, AND EXPANDING EHE CELL-LINE DEVELOPMENT. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS GROWTH OF A GLOBAL PATIENT-LED RESEARCH NETWORK, INCLUDING CLINICIAN-SCIENTISTS, RESEARCHERS, AND ADVOCATES IN A SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM.


PATIENT SERVICES: THE EHE FOUNDATION HELPED PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES FIND ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT EHE, INCLUDING PHYSICIANS EXPERIENCED IN TREATING EHE, AND TREATMENT OPTIONS BY DEVELOPING AND PUBLISHING EDUCATIONAL CONTENT, HOSTING EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES, AND PROVIDING ONLINE AND 1:1 PEER SUPPORT.
