THE UNITED LEUKODYSTROPHY FOUNDATION ULF IS A 39-YEAR-OLD INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, SERVING BOTH PATIENT FAMILIES AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS IN ALL FIFTY STATES AND IN 32 COUNTRIES. THE ULFS PRIMARY EFFORTS INCLUDE 1 FUNDRAISING FOR LEUKODYSTROPHY RESEARCH TO DISCOVER IMPROVED THERAPIES AND ULTIMATELY A CURE, 2 HOSTING AN ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM AND FAMILY CONFERENCE, AND 3 PROVIDING EDUCATION AND MEDICAL REFERRALS TO FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE DISEASE.
