ST LOUIS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (CDA) PROVIDED A GRANT TO CONTINUE THE CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF PREPARED MEALS AS WELL AS GROCERY ITEMS (PREPARED MEALS, GROCERY BOXES), AND PPE (MASKS, GLOVES, HAND SANITIZER, AND THERMOMETRS) FOR AT RISK RESIDENTS. WE ALSO ENTERED INTO CONTRACTS WITH HOSPITALS AND OTHER AGENCIES TO PROVIDE PRODUCE AND PREPARED FOOD TO SENIORS AND LOW INCOME RESIDENTS.
HOSCO IS A COMMUNITY PARTNER THAT PROVIDES NUTRITION EDUCATION ON JOB TRAINING, INTERNSHIPS, AND HEALTHY COOKING CLASSES:OUR CULINARY TRAINING PROGRAM SERVICED STUDENTS AT 2 SEPARATE SCHOOL SITES & PARTICIPATED IN INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS WITH BOTH AS WELL. TASKS ACCOMPLISHED INCLUDED: PROVIDING HEALTHY COOKING CLASSES TO HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND SENIORS; PARTICIPATED IN THE SCHOOLS VIRTUAL PROGRAMS; PROVIDED FACILITY INTERSHIP WITH CLYDE C MILLER CULINARY STUDENTS; ASSISTED FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES AS WELL AS SOUTHWEST FOODSERVICES EXTEND EXCELLENCE IN DELIVERING FOOD KITS TO STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THE PANDEMIC.
