PHYSICIAN EDUCATION HAS BECOME OUR CENTRAL FOCUS AT IOF. WITH THE INCEPTION OF IOF'S PHYSICIAN EDUCATION PROGRAM IN 2016, IOF BECAME UNIQUELY POSITIONED TO SET THE STANDARD FOR TEACHING THE FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSETS NECESSARY FOR PHYSICIANS TO PRACTICE IN THIS ADVANCED MEDICAL SPECIALTY. IOF HAS INSTRUCTED AND CERTIFIED OVER 500 PHYSICIANS THROUGH OUR STRUCTURED, COMPENTENCY-BASED AND CERTIFED EDUCATION PROGRAM. CLEARLY, THIS PROGRAM IS SUCCESSFULLY CHANNELING PHYSICIANS INTO THIS FIELD, PROVIDING THEM WITH THE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT TECHNIQUES AND IMPACTING THEIR TREATMENT OF PATIENTS. GRANT SUPPORT IS USED TO FURTHER DEVELOP OUR CURRICULUM, PROMOTE OUR EDUCATION PROGRAM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, AND ENLIST EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS WHO ARE ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN EDUCATING PHYSICIANS.
THE ANNUAL INTERVENTIONAL ORTHOPEDIC EDUCATION CONFERENCE FOCUSED ON STEM CELL RESEARCH, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO PLAY A KEY ROLE IN THE FUTURE OF ORTHOPEDIC MEDICINE. THE CONFERENCE SEEKS TO ADVANCE THE FIELD OF INTERVENTIONAL ORTHOPEDIC REGENERATIVE MEDICINE AND HEALTHCARE INNOVATION, THROUGH THE SHARING OF SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES, RESEARCH, BEST PRACTICES AND BUSINESS MODELS. ALONG WITH REGULAR PHYSICIAN ATTENDEES AND TO SUPPORT PHYSICIANS-IN-TRAINING, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES UP TO 400 OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT (STIPEND ALLOWANCE) FOR 53 FOUR YEAR RESIDENTS AND FELLOW PHYSICIANS TO ATTEND THIS CONFERENCE.
