Part 3 - Line 4a
BAILING OUT BENJI'S UNIQUE RESEARCH PROGRAM COLLECTS, CATALOGS, AND FORENSICALLY AUDITS EXTENSIVE DATA FROM GOVERNMENT INSPECTION REPORTS, HEALTH RECORDS, LAWSUITS, AND MORE, TO SPARK CHANGE WITHIN THE PUPPY MILL, COMMERCIAL DOG BREEDING, AND PET ACQUISITION INDUSTRY. OUR RESEARCH CONNECTS THE PET STORES AND ONLINE SELLERS TO THE BREEDERS THEY SOURCE FROM, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE TRANSPARENCY NEEDED TO EMPOWER CONSUMERS TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS. WE HOST THE LARGEST DATABASE IN THE WORLD REGARDING PUPPY MILLS AND THE OUTLETS IN WHICH THEY SELL. OUR RESEARCH HAS LED TO COUNTLESS LAWS BEING PASSED AND POLICIES BEING CHANGED, BUT IT HAS ALSO BEEN THE SPARK THAT LED TO ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGES BEING PRESSED IN NUMEROUS PUPPY MILL CASES.
BAILING OUT BENJI'S NATIONAL GRASSROOTS VOLUNTEER TEAM IS A CORNER- STONE OF OUR MISSION, BRINGING PASSIONATE ADVOCATES TOGETHER IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THIS UNIQUE NETWORK ENGAGES IN CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC, HOSTS EVENTS, AND BUILDS RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL POLICYMAKERS TO CREATE CHANGE AT THE COMMUNITY LEVEL. THEIR EFFORTS HAVE LED TO INCREASED AWARENESS ABOUT PUPPY MILLS, LEGISLATIVE CHANGE, AND STRONGER SUPPORT FOR ADOPTING PETS RATHER THAN BUYING FROM PUPPY MILLS, CREATING LASTING IMPACTS IN THEIR OWN BACKYARDS. WE CURRENTLY HAVE MORE THAN 220 VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ACTIVELY WORKING ON THIS ISSUE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
AT BAILING OUT BENJI WE BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN'T HELP ANIMALS WITHOUT FIRST HELPING THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THOSE ANIMALS. OUR BENJI CARES PROGRAM HAS BEEN ABLE TO MAKE AN IMMEASURABLE IMPACT ON THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES WHO WERE EXPERIENCING HARDSHIPS AND NEEDED A PARTNER TO HELP THEM GET THROUGH. OUR LOCAL PET FOOD PANTRY AND VETERINARY CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES ESSENTIAL SUPPORT TO PET OWNERS FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS, REMOVING BARRIERS THAT OFTEN LEAD FAMILIES TO VETERINARY EXPENSES, THE PROGRAM REMOVES BARRIERS THAT OFTEN LEAD FAMILIES TO SURRENDER THEIR PETS TO SHELTERS. THIS ALLOWS PETS TO STAY IN HOMES AND REDUCES STRAIN ON LOCAL SHELTERS. WE ARE ALSO PROUD TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO OTHER PROGRAMS WITH OUR SIMILAR FOCUS.
