PEACEFUL FAMILY SOLUTIONS DBA PEACEFUL FAMILY OKLAHOMA (PFO) DELIVERS FREE EVIDENCE-BASED, TRAUMA-INFORMED, AGE-APPROPRIATE, HOPE-CENTERED PROGRAMS THROUGH DAY CAMP AND SCHOOL-BASED MODELS FOR CHILDREN AGED 4-18 WHO ARE IMPACTED BY DRUG OR ALCOHOL ADDICTION IN THEIR FAMILIES. A KEY COMPONENT OF THE APPROACH IS PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT, WHICH HELPS BUILD RESILIENCE AND COPING SKILLS AMONG PARTICIPANTS. AS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION OF ITS KIND IN OKLAHOMA, PFO AIMS TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL ADDICTION, ADDRESS STIGMA, AND FOSTER EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING FOR THE ESTIMATED 250,000 OKLAHOMA CHILDREN IMPACTED BY ADDICTION IN THEIR FAMILIES, WHO ARE EIGHT TIMES MORE LIKELY TO DEVELOP SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS THEMSELVES WITHOUT INTERVENTION.
