THE ORGANIZATION IS INVOLVED IN PROTECTING AND RECOVERING NATIVE LANDSCAPES AND HAWAIIAN PLANT BIODIVERSITY EXISTING IN THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS. THE OBJECTIVES INCLUDE INCREASING THE NUMBER OF AVAILABLE VARIETIES OF TRADITIONAL HAWAIIAN KALO EXISTING IN HAWAII BY EDUCATING GROWERS AND OTHERS ON BETTER IDENTIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT, AND BY INCREASING THE AVAILABILITY OF PLANTING STOCK TO GROWERS THROUGH OUTREACH EFFORTS AND PARTNER ORGANIZATION, AND TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF TRADITIONAL HAWAIIAN KALO SPECIALISTS.
