SMILE FARMS IS SHAPING A BETTER FUTURE WHERE INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS ARE VALUED FOR THE REAL CONTRIBUTIONS THEY MAKE IN THEIR WORKPLACES AND COMMUNITIES.

SMILE FARMS OPENED TWO NEW CAMPUSES IN 2021 AT CP UNLIMITED IN STATEN ISLAND AND NASSAU BOCES IN WANTAGH WITH THE GOAL OF GIVING BACK TO NEW POPULATIONS ALL WHILE IMPACTING MORE INDIVIDUALS AND CREATING GREATER CHANGE BY CREATING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR FARMERS, PARTNERS, DONORS, AND COMMUNITIES. SMILE FARMS AT CP UNLIMITED: FUNDED EIGHT RAISED BEDS WITH IRRIGATION AND INTEGRATED WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR 20 EXISTING DAY HABILITATION PARTICIPANTS. SMILE FARMS AT NASSAU BOCES: EXPANDED THE ALREADY ACTIVE HORTICULTURE PROGRAM FROM IMPACTING THREE TEACHERS/18 STUDENTS TO AN INCREASE TO 10 TEACHERS/78 STUDENTS ACROSS TWO PROGRAMS. -WORKED WITH FAMILY RESIDENCES AND ESSENTIAL ENTERPRISES TO DELIVER 'FREEPODS" TO HOME-BOUND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND THE ELDERLY. THE FREEPODS WERE COMPOSED OF DONATED NECESSARY MEDICATIONS, GROCERIES, AND FRESH PRODUCE FROM SMILE FARMS AT FREE. THEY WERE DELIVERED 3 DAYS A WEEK TO 18 SITES AND SERVE A TOTAL OF 300 PEOPLE. -PEPPERS WERE PLANTED AT EVERY CAMPUS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SMILE FARMS' NEWLY BRANDED HEAT WITH HEART HOT SAUCE. THE SMILE FARMERS HARVESTED 2,015 POUNDS OF HOT AND SWEET PEPPERS THAT WERE PROCESSED INTO 5,672 BOTTLES OF HOT SAUCE
