FOCUSES ON SEEKING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP INDIVIDUALS ACHIEVE PERSONAL CAREER GOALS. FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL THAT WANTS TO WORK IN THE COMMUNITY, THE TEAM DEVELOPS AN INVENTORY OF THE INTERESTS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE RELEVANT TO HIS OR HER JOB SEARCH, EMPLOYABILITY, JOB BATCH, RETENTION, AND LONG-RANGE CAREER DEVELOPMENT. ALL INDIVIDUALS PLACED IN COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT RECEIVE JOB COACHING.
CENTERED ON PERSONAL INTERESTS, THE CBDS PROGRAM HAS STRUCTURED GROUP ACTIVITIES THAT ENHANCE THE SKILLS NEEDED TO CONNECT PEOPLE WITH THE COMMUNITY AND INCREASE THEIR INDEPEDENCE. THE INDIVIDUALS GAIN KNOWLEDGE THAT ALLOWS THEM TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS THAT GUIDES THEM ON THE PATH THEY DESIRE.
