EDUCATION DIVISION: DURING THE 2021/22 SEASON, THE CHAMBER MUSIC | OC PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM HELD 32 DAYS OF CLASSES IN THE FALL SEMESTER, 32 DAYS OF CLASSES IN THE WINTER SEMESTER AND 35 DAYS OF CLASSES IN THE SPRING SEMESTER (THIS WAS IN 2022 ONLY). THE PROGRAM HAD 45 STUDENTS, AND 93% OF THE PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. ALL THE STUDENTS RECEIVED WEEKLY, IN-PERSON GROUP COACHING FROM RESIDENT FACULTY, PARTICIPATED IN WEEKLY GROUP CLASSES, AND RECEIVED ONE-ON-ONE CAREER GUIDANCE. THE RESIDENTS AT HERITAGE POINTE HAD A CHANCE TO LISTEN TO A LIVE CLASSICAL MUSIC PERFORMANCE AND INTERACT WITH THE YOUNG MUSICIANS IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM. THE PERFORMANCE WAS ALSO FEATURED THROUGH THEIR IN-HOUSE RADIO CHANNEL WHICH ALLOWED RESIDENTS TO HAVE OPTIONS TO HEAR LIVE MUSIC IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR HOME. ALSO, CHAMBER MUSIC OC'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH DIVISION PRESENTED A MUSIC WORKSHOP FOR 200+ STUDENTS OF THE HEMET UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. IN TAHQUITZ HIGH SCHOOL THEATER, STUDENTS FROM AGES 8 TO 18 WERE GATHERED TO LISTEN TO CLASSICAL MUSIC PERFORMED BY CHAMBER MUSIC OC'S PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS AND EDUCATORS AS WELL AS PARTICIPATING IN SIMPLE MUSICAL EXERCISES INCLUDING CONDUCTING AND EAR-TRAINING. STUDENTS ALSO HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS AND INTERACT WITH THE PERFORMERS THROUGHOUT THE WORKSHOP AND DURING THE Q&A SESSION AT THE END. IT IS CHAMBER MUSIC | OC'S GOAL TO MAKE THE BENEFITS OF MUSIC MORE WIDELY ACCESSIBLE AND APPROACHABLE FOR OUR COMMUNITY.PERFORMANCE DIVISION: IN 2021, CHAMBER MUSIC OC PRESENTED A HANDFUL OF LIVE CONCERT EVENTS, IN AUGUST AND DECEMBER - THE MAJORITY OF LIVE EVENTS WERE POSTPONED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, AND CHAMBER MUSIC OC CONTINUED FOCUSING EFFORTS TOWARDS PRE-COLLEGE, USING VIRTUAL LEARNING. NEW EVENTS WERE RESCHEDULED FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2022 IN HOPES OF THE EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC DISSIPATING.
