THE LONG BEACH SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION (THE ASSOCIATION) IS A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION. ITS MISSION IS TO ENRICH THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY SYMPHONIC MUSIC AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES. ITS PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE LONG BEACH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE A CLASSICAL SERIES, A POPS! SERIES, A FAMILY CONCERT AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH ACTIVITIES WHICH CUMULATIVELY REACH 60,000 PATRONS ANNUALLY. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, CREATED IN ALIGNMENT WITH STATE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS STANDARDS, AND THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS PRESENTS OVER 80 FREE EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES SERVING MORE THAN 25,000 STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOLS EACH YEAR.
