501(C)3 WR ARTS IS HERE TO PROVIDE AN OPEN, SUPPORTIVE ARTISTIC ENVIRONMENT TO THOSE LOOKING TO CULTIVATE A LASTING RELATIONSHIP WITH DANCE AND THE PERFORMING ARTS. WE STRIVE TO FIND WAYS TO BLEND NORTH BROOKLYN'S CULTURALLY DIVERSE NEIGHBORHOODS TOGETHER UNDER ONE ROOF TO BUILD A STRONGER COMMUNITY TOGETHER THROUGH THE ARTS. WITH OUR "IN SCHOOL" ON-SITE AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMING AND OUR 6 DAYS A WEEK "HOME BASE" GENERAL CHILDREN'S AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AT 573 METROPOLITAN AVENUE, WE CONNECT ALL TO THE ARTS EXPERIENCE. THROUGH OUR "IN SCHOOL" PROGRAM WR BRINGS A PROFESSIONAL STUDIO ATMOSPHERE INTO CLASSROOM SPACES AT AN INTRODUCTORY LEVEL. IN-SCHOOL ACCOMPLISHMENTS: SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2022, WR ARTS EXPANDS IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING TO 4 LOCAL SCHOOLS, PREVIOUSLY 2 FROM EARLIER IN 2022: PS 31, PS 34, AND PS 110, AND PS 157 PROVIDING PERFORMING ARTS ENRICHMENT TO PRE-K THROUGH 5TH GRADE AGED STUDENTS 3 - 5 DAYS A WEEK. STUDIO ACCOMPLISHMENTS: WR ARTS CONTINUED IN-STUDIO PROGRAMING WITH OUR WINTER/ SPRING 2022 SESSION, RUNNING JANUARY THROUGH JUNE 2022. IN MAY 2022, WR ARTS HOSTED OUR END OF YEAR PERFORMANCES AT THE BRICK THEATER, WELCOMING 150 GUESTS. WR ARTS ENDED 2022 WITH A STAGED PRESENTATION OF HANSEL & GRETEL PERFORMED BY OUR FRIDAY PERFORMING GROUP- STUDENTS AGED 5 - 10. PARTNERED PROGRAMING: WR ARTS PARTNERED WITH WILLIAMSBURG NORTHSIDE SCHOOL TO PROVIDE AFTERNOON DANCE PROGRAMING 1 -2 DAYS A WEEK, JANUARY THROUGH MAY/ JUNE OF 2022WR ARTS PARTNERED WITH CITY KIDS TO PROVIDE AFTERNOON DANCE AND THEATER ARTS PROGRAMING 1 -2 DAYS A WEEK, JANUARY THROUGH AUGUST OF 2022WR ARTS PAYCHECK PROTECTION LOAN OF $31,200.00, RECEIVED IN FEBRUARY 2021 WAS FULLY FORGIVEN AS A GOVERNMENTAL GRANT IN 2022.
