THE MISSION OF THE NEW HAVEN CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER AN APPRECIATION FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS THROUGH THE OWNERSHIP AND OPERATION OF INDOOR AND OUTDOOR PERFORMING ARTS FACILITIES; TO SERVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY DEVELOPING STRATEGIC ASSOCIATIONS WITH OTHER SECTION 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN THE PERFORMING ARTS TO PROMOTE LIFE-LONG LEARNING BY DEVELOPING OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE DIVERSE, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL AGES, ETHNIC AND CULTURAL GROUPS.

THE NEW HAVEN CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS (NHCPA) EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH MISSION IS TO BUILD AUDIENCES FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AND TO DEEPEN THEIR ENGAGEMENT BY DEVELOPING PROGRAMS THAT ARE DIVERSE, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY, AND ACCESSIBLE TO A BROAD RANGE OF AGES, ABILITIES, ETHNIC AND CULTURAL GROUPS THROUGH STRATEGIC COLLABORATIONS WITH PERFORMING ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS CREATIVE PRACTITIONERS OF EMERGENT ART FORMS AND TECHNOLOGIES.DURING 2017, PROGRAM PLANS WERE SIGNIFICANTLY REVISED WITH FEEDBACK FROM VARIOUS COMMUNITY GROUPS AND INPUT FROM LEADERS IN ART, CULTURE, TOURISM AND EDUCATION TO FOCUS ON:1. CONTINUED SUBSIDIZED USE OF STAGE AND BOX OFFICE FACILITIES.2. CURATED VENDING OPPORTUNITIES (VISUAL ART AND CRAFT SHOWCASES WITH PERFORMANCES).3.
