RED TENT PROVIDES CLASSES IN THE COUNTY JAIL TO APPROXIMATELY 100 WOMEN DURING THE YEAR. A TRAUMA INFORMED PROGRAM IS UTILIZED INCORPORATING THERAPEUTIC CONVERSATION, TRAINING ON CONNECTING WITH OTHERS, WORKING WITH THE HANDS, AND MINDFULNESS TECHNIQUES. THIS EVIDENCE BASED PROGRAM SUPPORTS WOMEN IN RESOLVING UNRESOLVED TRAUMA AND IMPROVING THEIR LIVES. IT IS THE ONLY PROGRAM IN THE JAIL TO HELP CHALLENGED WOMEN TO CHANGE THEIR THINKING AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES.
