INTERPRETING SERVICES, DRIVERS EDUCATION, IMMIGRATION SERVICES THE MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF SIOUX FALLS INTERPRETING SERVICES SEEK TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH LEGAL, GOVERNMENT, MEDICAL, AND SOCIAL SETTINGS AS WELL AS WITH DOCUMENT TRANSLATIONS. IT INCLUDES PEOPLE FROM 100 COUNTRIES SPEAKING 150 LANGUAGES. THERE ARE 30 INTERPRETERS ON STAFF. THE MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF SIOUX FALLS HAS PARTNERED WITH SOUTH DAKOTA, THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO EDUCATE NON-ENGLISH SPEAKERS WHO WISH TO OBTAIN A SOUTH DAKOTA DRIVERS LICENSE. THE MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF SIOUX FALLS IMMIGRATION SERVICES SEEK TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL IMMIGRATION SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES NEEDING ASSISTANCE WITH MATTERS OF CITIZENSHIP, IMMIGRATION REVIEW AND WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM THE SIX PROGRAMS SERVE OVER 60 STUDENTS FROM 6 LOCAL SCHOOLS EACH YEAR. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE NATIVES COUNT MATH RECOVERY INSTRUCTION, FROGGY READS READING RECOVERY PROGRAM TEACHING ENGLISH SKILLS WITH A RESPECT FOR THEIR TRADITIONAL LANGUAGE, NATIVE YOUTH CLUB TO CELEBRATE AND INCREASE AWARENESS OF CULTURAL TRADITIONS, HISTORY, SYMBOLISM, AND LANGUAGE OF ALL NATIVE AMERICANS, SELF DEFENCE/JUDO WITH QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS, C.A.R.E. CULTURAL APPRECIATION, RESPECT, AND EDUCATION CAMP SUMMER PROGRAM WITH 4 BI-WEEKLY SESSONS, AND ETHNIC YOUTH DAYMIDDLE SCHOOL ONE DAY EVENT TO ENHANCE STEM SKILLS AND CAREERS.
CULTURAL EVENTS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT THE MULTI-CULTURAL CENTER OF SIOUX FALLS OFFERS MANY OTHER PROGRAMS TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, AND RELIGIOUS SERVICES AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL, IN PART, FURTHER A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF, AND FOR, THE MANY DIFFERENT CULTURAL HERITAGES OF THE RESIDENTS OF SIOUX FALLS. SOME OF THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, ETHNIC COMMUNITIES/LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS ON CULTURAL AND DIVERSITY TRAINING, CAREER CLOSET, AND THE COLISEUM.
