PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING WITH RESPECT TO HOMEWORK, READING, AND MATH AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL GAMES. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS STRIVE TO WORK WITH PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF THE CHILDREN TO MEET THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL NEEDS.
TRAIN LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO TUTOR OUR YOUNGER STUDENTS. THEY RECEIVE TRAINING IN PEDAGOGY, EDUCATIONAL TECHNIQUES, CURRICULUM AS WELL AS BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT AND THEIR OWN PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EACH WEEK. THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TUTOR OUR YOUNGER STUDENTS FOR 1.5 HOURS EACH WEEK.
PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE READING SKILLS DEVELOPMENT BY TRAINING VOLUNTEERS TO WORK WITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY AT LOW PERFORMING PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE URBAN CORE.
