FOR THE FIRST 10 YEARS OUR SYMPHONY WAS ABLE TO OFFER FREE CONCERTS TO EVERYONE BECAUSE WE HAD A CHURCH FACILITY THAT COULD ACCOMODATE LARGE CROWDS. LAST YEAR, WE WERE REQUESTED BY THE CITY OF SCOTTSDALE TO PERFOM AT THE SCOTTSDALE CENTER FOR THE ARTS, WHICH HAS LIMITED SEATING OF 853 SEATS. DUE TO THIS LIMITATION, IN ORDER TO ACCOMODATE OUR PREVIOUS LARGE AUDIENCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1700 PEOPLE PER CONCERT, WE DEVELOPED A PLAN TO LIVE STREAM ALL OF OUR CONCERTS FREE OF CHARGE. IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE A SEAT, WE HAVE TO HAVE A SMALL TICKET DONATION OF $15. WE ALSO OFFER COMPLENTARY TICKETS, FREE OF CHARGE, TO THOSE PATRONS WHO ARE UNABLE TO DONATE.FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF CLASSICAL MUSIC IN OUR COMMUNITIES WE HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING CHILDRENS PROGRAMS INLCUDING FREE TICKETS TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES, OFFERING MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS, AND WORKING WITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE INSTRUMENTS TO UNDER-PRIVILEGED CHILDREN.
