THE DIRECT CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM HELPS PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTIVELY BEING TREATED FOR CANCER. THE RECIPIENT CAN BE MALE, FEMALE OR CHILD THAT LIVES IN MANITOWOC COUNTY. WE DO NOT GIVE MONEY DIRECTLY TO THE RECIPIENTS. THE RECIPIENT GVES US THE BILL(S) THEY NEED ASSISTANCE WITH. WE MAKE THE CHECK PAYABLE TO THE BILLER. WE CAN PAY A MEDICAL BILL AS LONG AS THE INSURANCE HAS PAID AND THE REMAINDER IS THE RECIPIENTS RESPONSIBLITY. WE HAVE A CAP OF $1,000 PER YEAR, PER RECIPIENT. OUR OVERALL GOAL WITH THIS PROGRAM IS TO ASSIST PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTIVELY BEING TREATED FOR ANY TYPE OF CANCER THAT LIVE IN MANITOWOC COUNTY.
