THE IOWA CANCER CONSORTIUM CONVENES GROUPS AROUND THE FIVE CANCER PLAN PRIORITY AREAS: PREVENTION, SCREENING, TREATMENT, QUALITY OF LIFE, AND HEALTH EQUITY. THE CONSORTIUM DISTRIBUTES FUNDS FOR COMMUNITY-BASED IMPLEMENTATION PROJECTS AND PEER-REVIEWED GRANTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF IOWA. THE CONSORTIUM ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN CANCER CONTROL FOR HEALTH CARE AND PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS.
