TO PROVIDE RESPECTFUL AND EQUAL ACCESS TO COST-FREE BREAST HEALTH TESTING THROUGH A NETWORK OF PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY, ADVOCACY AND HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS.

ESTABLISHED IN 2006, BUY A MOM A MAMMOGRAM PROVIDES COST-FREE BREAST HEALTH TESTING FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNINSURED, UNDERINSURED OR INELIGIBLE FOR OTHER BREAST HEALTH TESTING PROGRAMS. ASLF DOESN'T EXCLUDE ANYONE BASED ON AGE, RESIDENCY, OR SOCIOECONOMICS. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS NEED. ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 THE EVELYN GOLDBERG MAMMOGRAPHY CENTER, NAMED IN HONOR OF DR. SANDY'S LATE MOTHER, WAS UNVEILED. PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS THE EVELYN GOLDBERG CENTER (EST. 2004), AS AN INFORMATIONAL AND RESOURCE HUB, THE NEW EVELYN GOLDBERG MAMMOGRAPHY CENTER IS AN OUTGROWTH OF ASLF'S BUY A MOM A MAMMOGRAM PROGRAM.


KEEP ABREAST IS A FACE TO FACE, MULTIMEDIA BREAST HEALTH PRESENTATION THAT INCLUDES A STRAIGHTFORWARD DISCUSSION BETWEEN BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS AND YOUNG WOMEN. THE GOAL IS TWO-FOLD: TO TEACH YOUNG WOMEN TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR THEIR OWN BREAST HEALTH AND TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR BREAST CANCER SCREENING TO THOSE WHO ARE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED.


CHICAGOLAND CANCER INFORMATION COALITION (CCIC) IS COMPRISED OF ADVOCACY GROUPS, SOCIAL SERVICE, VOLUNTARY AND COMMUNITY-BASED HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS CITY AND COUNTY DEPARTMENT DEDICATED AND COMMITTED IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER. CCIC PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS BELIEVE THAT ALL INDIVIDUALS DESERVE ACCESS TO QUALITY CANCER RESOURCE INFORMATION REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, GENDER OR FINANCIAL CONDITION. CCIC IS A PROGRAM OF A SILVER LINING FOUNDATION.


A SILVER LINING FOUNDATION HAS EXPANDED OUR BAMAM PROGRAM BY ADDING SURVIVE TO THRIVE. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR WOMEN AND MEN WHO HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER. THE PROGRAM IS TAILORED TO FIT THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF SURVIVORS WHO ARE UN-INSURED OR UNDER-INSURED BY OFFERING NO COST DIAGNOSTIC TESTING.
