IN TOTAL JH PUBLIC ART HIRED 78 ARTISTS, 820 YOUTH DIRECTLY PARTICIPATED IN PUBLIC ART PROJECTS, AND WE HOSTED 6 FREE EVENTS AND EXHIBITS IN 2021. WE OVERSAW THE INSTALLATION OF 1 GIANT TROLL SCULPTURE MADE OF REPURPOSED MATERIALS BY AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ARTIST, THOMAS DAMBO. SITED IN A LOCAL CONSERVATION PARK, THIS SCULPTURE IS FREE AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL PEOPLE. 400 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN THE EDUCATIONAL BUILD A TROLL CHALLENGE THAT TAUGHT STUDENTS ABOUT RECYCLING AND CONSERVATION. OUR ANNUAL MURAL PROGRAM CALLED WILDWALLS REACHED OVER 5,000 PEOPLE THROUGH 3 FREE EVENTS. A TOTAL OF 12 ARTISTS PARTICIPATED, AND MURALS INCLUDED EDUCATIONAL AUGMENTED REALITY ANIMATIONS ABOUT LOCAL CONSERVATION INITIATIVES THAT WERE CREATED BY 5 ANIMATORS. WE INSTALLED 5 NEW SCULPTURES FOR GLOW NIGHTS, A FREE ILLUMINATED WINTER SCULPTURE SHOW, THAT WERE CREATED BY 4 DIFFERENT ARTIST TEAMS. 1 NEW ARTSPOT SCULPTURE WAS CREATED BY REGIONAL STUDENTS AND INSTALLED BY YOUTH ALONG HIGHWAY 89 THAT IS SEEN BY 30,000 PEOPLE DAILY. WE LIVE STREAMED THE ANNUAL MOONSHOT 5X5 WITH 5 PRESENTERS TO A LIVE AUDIENCE OF 80 SPECTATORS. WE INSTALLED 4 NEW MURALS ON THE PATHWAYS SYSTEM INCLUDING 2 BY LOCAL ARTISTS AND 2 CREATED BY LOCAL STUDENT GROUPS. WE PROVIDED CONSULTING SERVICES TO ST. JOHN'S HEALTH FOUNDATION TO INSTALL AN AGE-APPROPRIATE ART COLLECTION IN THE NEW SAGE LIVING THAT INCLUDED 7 CUSTOM ARTWORKS AND OVER 45 NEW PIECES. 350 YOUTH AND FAMILIES PARTICIPATED IN FREE ARTMOBILE ACTIVITIES.
