UNION HALL ADVANCES OPPORTUNITIES FOR DIVERSE, EMERGING ARTISTS AND CREATIVES, PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR DENVER LOCALS AND VISITORS TO ENGAGE IN ENRICHING EXHIBITIONS AND CREATIVE EXPERIENCES, AND SERVING AS A COMMUNITY-FOCUSED ARTS SPACE.

IN 2023, UNION HALL HELD 7 ART EXHIBITIONS, AND 54 PUBLIC EVENTS, RANGING FROM ARTIST TALKS AND WORKSHOPS, TO YOGA AND LIVE CONCERTS, WITH 91% OF ALL EVENTS BEING FREE. WITH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL INTERACTIONS, WE WELCOMED OVER 5,000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS INTO OUR SPACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN 2023, WE WORKED WITH 31 DIFFERENT VISUAL ARTISTS AND 4 GUEST CURATORS, WITH 61% OF ALL ARTISTS AND CURATORS IDENTIFYING AS BIPOC OR LATINX. IN ADDITION, WE CONTINUED TO BUILD ITS SIGNATURE PROGRAM, ROUGH GEMS, AN ANNUAL OPEN CALL AND COLLABORATIVE CURATORIAL PROJECT SHOWCASING THE WORK OF THREE DENVER- BASED CURATORS IN A ROTATING POP-UP EXHIBITION FORMAT. OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE WORKED WITH 15 GUEST CURATORS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, DIVERSIFYING THE VOICES RESPONSIBLE FOR EXHIBITION-MAKING IN THE DENVER AREA.
