UNION HALL ADVANCES OPPORTUNITIES FOR DIVERSE, EMERGING ARTISTS AND CREATIVES, PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR DENVER LOCALS AND VISITORS TO ENGAGE IN ENRICHING EXHIBITIONS AND CREATIVE EXPERIENCES, AND SERVING AS A COMMUNITY-FOCUSED ARTS SPACE.

IN 2022, UNION HALL HELD 7 ART EXHIBITIONS, AND 60 PUBLIC EVENTS, RANGING FROM ARTIST TALKS AND WORKSHOPS, TO YOGA AND LIVE CONCERTS, WITH 87% OF ALL EVENTS BEING FREE. WITH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL INTERACTIONS, WE WELCOMED OVER 4,500 COMMUNITY MEMBERS INTO OUR SPACE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN 2022, 86% OF ARTISTS AND 5 OUT OF 6 CURATORS IDENTIFIED AS FEMALE OR NON-BINARY, AND 38% OF ALL ARTISTS AND CURATORS WERE BIPOC/LATINX. IN ADDITION, WE CONTINUED TO BUILD ITS SIGNATURE PROGRAM, ROUGH GEMS, AN ANNUAL OPEN CALL AND COLLABORATIVE CURATORIAL PROJECT SHOWCASING THE WORK OF THREE DENVER- BASED CURATORS IN A ROTATING POP-UP EXHIBITION FORMAT. OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE SHOWCASED 45 DIFFERENT ROUGH GEMS ARTISTS AND 11 GUEST CURATORS, DIVERSIFYING THE VOICES RESPONSIBLE FOR EXHIBITION-MAKING IN OUR AREA.
