IFTA RESEARCH FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE INTERNATIONLAL FRUIT TREE ASSOCIATION'S MISSION TO PROMOTE THE UNDERSTANDING OF NATURE AND USE OF INTENSIVE ORCHARD SYSTEMS THROUGH THE FUNDING OF RESEARCH PROJECTS.

RESEARCH PROJECTS THAT ADVANCE FRUIT TREE GROWING AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS.
THE IFTA PAYS AG ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE ADN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LEVEL SERVICES TO THE BOARD AND THE ASSOCIATION. THE AMOUNT PAID TO THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS BROKEN INTO THREE AREAS: 1) MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT, 2) ANNUAL MEETING PLANNING AND EXEUCUTION, 3) SUMMER STUDY TOUR PLANNING AND EXECUTION.
ANOTHER MAIN FOCUS OF THE IFTA IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THOSE THAT ARE CONDUCTING RESEARCH ON TOPICS OF VALUE TO THE IFTA MEMBERSHIP. THE AMOUNT THAT THE BOARD CONTRIBUTES TO THE FOUNDATION VARIES FROM YEAR TO YEAR AND COMES FROM CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE MEMBERSHIP AND FROM EXCESS FUNDS THAT THE IFTA MAY HAVE RECEIVED IN A GIVEN YEAR.
