Part 3 - Line 4a
GOOD GROCER IS A VOLUNTEER POWERED GROCERY STORE THAT IS FOCUSED ON HELPING THOSE IN NEED ACCESS HEALTHY FOODS AT AFFORDABLE PRICES. IN EARLY 2018 THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORCED TO CLOSE AND RELOCATE THEIR STORE DUE TO EMINENT DOMAIN. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED FUNDS FROM HENNEPIN COUNTY TO RELOCATE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THE REBUILDING PROCESS TOOK THREE YEARS DUE TO DELAYS RELATED TO SITE LOCATION, FUND RAISING, COVID-19, AND THE UNREST IN MINNEAPOLIS. DURING 2019 AND 2020 THE ORGANIZATION DID NOT DERIVE ANY INCOME FROM THEIR PROGRAM SERVICES BUT CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED. GOOD GROCER REOPENED IN JANUARY, 2021 AT ITS NEW LOCATION ON NICOLLET AVE IN MINNEAPOLIS.
