FOOD PANTRY - PROVIDED FOOD FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED. FOOD WAS PROVIDED THROUGH MONTHLY DISTRIBUTIONS TO AN AVERAGE OF 394 HOUSEHOLDS OR 1,022 INDIVIDUALS EACH MONTH. IN ADDITION TO THE $14,620 IN PURCHASES WE RECEIVED 646,143 POUNDS IN DONATED FOOD ITEMS
SENIOR BAGS - BAGS OF PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS SUCH AS TOILET PAPER, SOAP, SHAMPOO, DETERGENT, ETC FOR INDIVIDUALS 60 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER. $6 PER HOUSEHOLD PER MONTH EXPENSES WOULD BE TOTAL EXPENSES PAID BY SENIOR CITIZENS GRANT WHICH IS A LOCAL COUNTY GRANT INCLUDING GRANTS OF $16,000. AN AVERAGE OF 211 HOUSEHOLDS WERE SUPPORTED EACH MONTH.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE - PROVIDED EMERGENCY FOOD BOXES FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED WHEN FOOD FOR MORGAN COUNTY IS NOT OPEN. FOODS ARE ALL SHELF STABLE IN CASE THE HOUSEHOLD HAS NO FREEZER/REFRIGERATOR AVAILABLE. EACH BOX IS INTENDED FOR FAMILIES OF 2 OR 3 INDIVIDUALS, FOR 2 TO 3 DAYS. THESE BOXES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH COUNTY AND CITY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. APPROXIMATELY 30 FAMILIES RECEIVED THE ASSISTANCE IN 2021.
