CHOSEN FOR LIFE MINISTRIES HELPS CHURCHES, COMMUNITIES, AND FAMILIES CARE WELL FOR FOSTER AND ADOPTED CHILDREN. OUR VISION IS THAT EVERYONE WILL FIND THEIR ROLE IN CARING FOR FOSTER, ADOPTED, AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN. (SEE SCHEDULE O)

FOSTER CARE SUPPORT: WE SEEK TO EDUCATE, EQUIP, AND SUPPORT CHURCHES TO CARE FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THROUGHOUT DFCS REGION 5. THROUGH LOCAL CHURCH PARTNERSHIP, FOSTER FAMILIES RECEIVE ONGOING, WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT FROM TEAMS OF VOLUNTEERS. WE PROVIDE FREE ACCESS TO IMMEDIATE NEEDS THROUGH A DONATION-LED CLOTHING CLOSET FOR FOSTER CHILDREN. WE PROVIDE CARE PACKAGES, INCLUDING A MONOGRAMMED TOWEL, DUFFEL BAG, AND PILLOWCASE TO CHILDREN ENTERING CARE.
EDUCATION SUPPORT: WE BELIEVE FAMILIES CAN PARENT BETTER WITH MORE ACCESS TO KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES. WITH THIS IN MIND, WE PROVIDE EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR FOSTER AND ADOPTIVE PARENTS, AS WELL AS THOSE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING OR ADOPTING. WE PROVIDE AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES.
ADOPTION SUPPORT: WE OFFER AN ADOPTION ASSISTANCE GRANT FOR ADOPTING FAMILIES TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT. IN ADDITION, WE OFFER ADOPTION SUPPORT SERVICES TO LOCAL FAMILIES.
