TO CONNECT THOSE WHO ARE CARING AND COMPASSIONATE TO THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITY MOST IN NEED IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF MUTUAL RESPECT. WE DO THIS THROUGH OUR FOOD PANTRY, SOUP KITCHEN, AND FREE STORE.

MISHAWAKA FOOD PANTRY GAVE OUT FOOD TO 3,821 FAMILIES, WITH 10,816 MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN, PROVIDING THEM ENOUGH FOOD FOR APPROXIMATELY 18,764 MEALS. HOT LUNCHES WERE SERVED AT THE PANTRY TO 824 PEOPLE. ADDITIONAL SERVICES, INCLUDING SHOWERS AND PHONE AND WARMING CENTERS WERE PROVIDED AS WELL. VOLUNTEERS GAVE 2,048 HOURS OF SERVICE VALUED AT 28,672, WHICH IS NOT REFLECTED IN REVENUES OR EXPENSES. MANY OF OUR VOLUNTEERS HAD RECEIVED GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE AND WERE WORKING TO "PAY BACK" WHAT THEY RECEIVED, BOOSTING THEIR SELF-ESTEEM WHILE PROVIDING A SERVICE TO PEOPLE IN NEED.
