MAIN STAGE - DAKOTA STATE PRESENTS FIVE LIVE COMMUNITY THEATER PRODUCTIONS EACH YEAR, TOTALING 35 PERFORMANCES, REACHING AN AUDIENCE OF APPROXIMATELY 4000. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY 25 POSITIONS FOR DIRECTORS, DESIGNERS AND TECHNICIANS, AND IS SUPPORTED BY OVER 140 COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS.
SHADE TREE PLAYERS SUMMER CHILDFRENS THEATRE PROGRAM - STP IS AN ALL-INCLUSIVE YOUTH ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES A QUALITY PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE TO ANY STUDENT WITH A DESIRE TO PARTICIPATE AND LEARN THE CRAFT OF THEATER AS AN ART FORM. THE PROGRAM SERVES MORE THAN 100 ANNUAL PARTICIPANTS AND PROVIDES 20 POSITIONS FOR DIRECTORS, DESIGNERS AND TECHNICIANS.
COMEDY/COMMUNITY EVENTS - DAKOTA STAGE STRIVES TO ENGAGE OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING SEVERAL LIVE COMEDY WEEKENDS EACH YEAR. OVER 1000 COMMUNITY MEMBERS ENJOY THESE PERFORMANCES, WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY APPROXIMATELY 40 VOLUNTEERS. IN ADDITION, DSL SHARES RESOURCES WITH LOCAL THEATER GROUPS AND OFFER THE FACILITY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER LOCAL COMMUNITY-MINDED ORGANIZATIONS. DAKOTA STAGE ALSO OFFERS OTHER PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS AND VARIOUS SPECIAL EVENTS.
