PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL AND/OR EMERGENCY RELIEF BY SUPPLYING CANNED FOODS, GENTLY USED CLOTHING, BEDDING HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS.WORKING IN COOPERATION WITH, AND UNDER THE AUSPICES OF, OPERATION FOOD SEARCH AND FOOD BANK (BOTH LOCATED IN ST LOUIS METRO AREA) THE ARNOLD FOOD PANTRY RECEIVES MONTHLY REPORTS INDICATING THE QUANTITY OF FOOD GOODS AND OTHER PORDUCTS REVEIVED FROM THOSE AGENCIES, SAID REPORTS PLACE A MONETARY VALUE ON THE GOODS RECEIVED, FOR 2022, OPERATION FOOD SEARCH VALUED ITS DONATIONS TO ARNOLD FOOD PANTRY AT $530,428. SIMILARLY THE FOOD BANK SUPPLIED FOOD AND PRODUCTS TO ARNOLD FOOD PANTRY VALUED AT $786,359. BASED UPON 678,756 POUNDS @1.94 PER POUND. OTHER LOCAL FOOD DRIVES HOSTED BY THE BOY SCOUTS, THE POSTAL SERVICE, HUNGER TASK FORCE AND LOCAL CHURCHES HELP REPLENISH FOOD SUPPLIES. THE TOTAL VALUE OF DONATED FOOD AND PRODUCT RECEIVED DURING 2022 AMOUNTS TO $1,616,975.
PROVIDE CHURCHES, SCHOOLS, SCOUTING TROOPS AND COURT APPOINTED COMMUNITY SERVICE PERSONS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE.PERSONS PERFORMING COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE TAUGHT SKILL SETS THAT CAN BE TRANSFERABLE TO VARIOUS JOBS IN THE FUTURE. AT ANY GIVEN TIME THE WORKING VOLUNTEER STAFF CONSISTS OF 25% COMMUNITY SERVICE PERSONS. THIS PROGRAM ALLOWS THEM TO COMPLETE THEIR COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR SCHOOL, GRADUATION, SCOUT MERIT BADGES AND NONVIOLENT COURT RELATED ISSUES IN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.
PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES TO RECEIVE IN-KIND SUPPLIES AND SERVICES THAT INCLUDE(BUT NOT LIMITED TO);CLOTHING, BEDDING, APPLIANCES, FLU SHOTS, FREE PHONES, HELP NAVIGATING THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, FREE BL0OD PRESSURE CHECKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, GUIDANCE TO ACCESS FREE DENTAL SERVICES, DONATED VISION SERVICES AND PARTICIPATION IN THE HOMELESS YOUTH INITIATIVE, THESE IN-KIND SERVICES ALLOW OUR CLIENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THEIR STANDING THE COMMUNITY, HELP RAISE THEIR STANDARD OF LIVING AND PROVIDE NECESSARY SERVICES THAT CLIENTS MAY NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD.
