ADULT ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING: A CENTRAL ASPECT OF THE ACCESS-JUSTICE WORK OF THE CMLC IS ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACQUISITION, AS LIMITED ENGLISH EXPERIENCE IS A MAJOR SOCIAL DETERMINANT OF HEALTH IN THE US WHICH, FOR MANY INTERNATIONAL, IMMIGRANT, AND REFUGEE COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LIMIT WORKPLACE EQUITY, ACCESS TO EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, HOUSING, AND SOCIAL COMMUNITY TO NAME JUST A FEW. IMMIGRATION SUPPORT: A VITAL PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY SAFETY AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND REPRESENTATION IS THE CMLC IMMIGRATION SUPPORT PROGRAM.
