GIVE US WINGS ENCOURAGES SUPPORTS AND PARTNERS WITH PEOPLE LIVING IN EXTREME POVERTY IN UGANDA AS THEY TRANSFORM THEIR LIVES THROUGH GREATER ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE EDUCATION AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES.

FAMILY TO FAMILY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM: 87 FAMILIES IN UGANDA ARE PARTNERED WITH US SPONSORS. THE UGANDAN FAMILIES RECEIVE SEVERAL BENEFITS THAT HELP THEM ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WE PAY THE TUITION AND SCHOOL FEES FOR THE YOUNGEST CHILD IN THE FAMILY USUALLY A GIRL TO BE ENROLLED IN A HIGH-QUALITY BOARDING SCHOOL. THE FAMILY RECEIVES HEALTH INSURANCE THROUGH OUR CLINIC. THE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS THAT COVER TOPICS SUCH AS POSITIVE PARENTING CHILD NUTRITION CHILDREN'S RIGHTS ETC.


ST. JOHN'S KAYORO HEALTH CENTER: OUR CLINIC PROVIDED BASIC MEDICAL SERVICES TO OVER 24,000 PEOPLE IN 2023. THE CLINIC FOCUSES ON MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH IMMUNIZATIONS FAMILY PLANNING HIV TESTING AND MANY OTHER SERVICES. REGULAR HEALTH OUTREACHES ARE DONE IN RURAL SETTINGS FOR PEOPLE WHO CANNOT REACH THE CLINIC.


ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. OUR STAFF WORKS WITH SMALL MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVES IN THE DISTRICT OF TORORO. WE PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING TEACHING THE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS HOW TO MANAGE THEIR COOPERATIVE AND RUN SMALL SAVINGS AND LOAN OPERATIONS THROUGH THE COOPERATIVE. WE ALSO PROVIDE SMALL BUSINESS TRAINING AND HELP THEM IDENTIFY CASH CROPS THAT WILL BE PROFITABLE. WE ALSO HELP THEM DEVELOP MARKET CONNECTIONS TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS.
