BOUNTIFIELD IS A POSTHARVEST TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS PROVIDER FOR SMALLHOLDER FARMERS IN AFRICA, HELPING THE MOST VULNERABLE TO PROCESS THEIR FOOD MORE EFFICIENTLY AND BRING THEIR CROPS TO MARKET.

THE MAVUNO BORA PROJECT IN KENYA IS PROVIDING TECHNOLOGY, BUSINESS DELIVERY SERVICES AND FINANCING SUPPORT TO MICRO-ENTERPRISES AND RURAL ENTREPRENEURS SO THEY CAN DEVELOP A SMALL BUSINESS HELPING SMALLHOLDER FARMERS TO PROCESS, SAVE AND SELL MORE FOOD IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN JUST ONE SEASON, 17 ENTREPRENEURS RECIEVED TOOLS AND TRAINING, 4369 FARMERS BENEFITED. 4540 DAYS OF LABOR WERE SAVED FOR THRESHING, WINNOWING AND SHELLING CROPS. 2 WHITE PAPERSWERE PUBLISHED.


THE YOMBAL MBOJJ PROJECT WORKED WITH WOMEN'S GROUPS IN SENEGAL TO CREATE SMALL BUSINESSES WITH THRESHERS AND PORTABLE MILLING TECHNOLOGY FOR PROCESSING LOCALLY PRODUCED CROPS. BOUNTIFIELD GRINDERS WERE USED TO MAKE VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BLENDED FLOURS, GROUND SPICES, AND NUTRITIOUS SNACKS. BOUNTIFIELD CREATED ACCESS FOR FARMERS TO 21 OPERATING THRESHERS FOR PEARL MILLET. BOUNTIFIELD WORKED WITH LOCAL AGRODEALERS TO DISTRIBUTE AND SELL 46 GRINDERS TO WOMEN'S GROUPS . 37 WOMEN'S GROUPS REGISTERED THEIR BUSINESS WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.


THE MALAWI ACTIVITIES CENTERED AROUND INTRODUCING AND TESTING GROUNDNUT SHELLING TECHNOLOGY FOR SMALL-SCALE ENTREPRENEURS. 11 ENTREPRENEURS. 1,767 FARMERS BENEFITED. 169 KILOGRAMS OF GROUNDNUTS WERE SHELLED. THE MONETIZED ADDED VALUE FROM FARMERS SELLING NUTS AND SAVING TIME WAS JUST UNDER $47,000. TOTAL TIME SAVED WAS 36,335 DAYS OF LABOR.
