INDIA: WE PARTNER WITH LUTHERAN CHURCHES IN INDIA SPONSOR THE EDUCATION OF 1149 STUDENTS. WE PROVIDE FUNDING FOR ENGLISH-LANGUAGE LEARNING IN NEARLY 100 SMALL PRIMARY SCHOOLS, AND SUPPORT VOCATIONAL TRAINING THROUGH A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE DISTRIBUTED DRY FOOD RATIONS TO 1500 FAMILIES. GUATEMALA: WE SUPPORT COMMUNITY CLOUD FOREST CONSERVATION (CCFC), AND ORGANIZATION BASED IN THE HIGHLANDS OF ALTA VERAPAZ THAT PROVIDES TRAINING FOR YOUNG WOMEN IN AGROECOLOGY, FAMILY PLANNING, LIFE SKILLS AND NUTRITION, AND PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS THAT INCENTIVIZE THEM TO STAY IN SCHOOL. TANZANIA: WE SUPPORT A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SAFE HOUSING TO GIRLS WHO ARE AT IMMINENT RISK OF CHILD MARRIAGE OR FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION. WE ALSO PROVIDE TRAINING TO A GIRLS' SECONDARY SCHOOL ON SAFETY AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, CREATING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR GIRLS TO LIVE AND STUDY.CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: WE PROVIDED EMERGENCY HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT TO THE LUTHERAN CHURCH, WHO BOUGHT FOOD AND BASIC SUPPLIES FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS LIVING ON OR NEAR CHURCH CAMPUSES.
