Part 3 - Line 4a

SEPTIC INITIATIVE - THE PURPOSE OF THE SEPTIC INITIATIVE IS TO COMMUNICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM BEST PRACTICES TO DEER LAKE LAKESHORE AND WATERSHED PROPERTY OWNERS, INCLUDING WHEN TO PUMP SEPTIC TANKS, WHEN TO ORDER A SEPTIC COMPLIANCE INSPECTION, AND WHEN TO REPLACE FAILING SEPTIC SYSTEMS. DLA IS CURRENTLY FOCUSED ON SEPTIC SYSTEMS INSTALLED 1996 OR EARLIER BECAUSE MORE THAN 50% OF THOSE SYSTEMS FAIL INSPECTION WHEN INSPECTED.
