Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE HASTINGS ROTARY CLUB IS AN AFFILIATE OF CYCLING WITHOUT AGE, AN INTERNATIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION BASED IN DENMARK. CYCLING WITHOUT AGE PROMOTES THE DREAM OF PROVIDING ELDERLY CITIZENS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE OUR CITY AND TRAILS FROM THE SEAT OF A TRICYCLE, SHARING THEIR STORIES AND FEELING THE WIND IN THEIR HAIR. ULTIMATELY, WE WILL BUILD BRIDGES BETWEEN GENERATIONS AND REINFORCE TRUST, RESPECT, AND SOCIAL GLUE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

HASTINGS ROTARY CLUB PROVIDES GRANTS AND AWARDS TO ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE HASTINGS COMMUNITY WHO EXEMPLIFY ROTARY'S MOTTO OF 'SERVICE ABOVE SELF,' AS A WAY TO REWARD AND FOSTER THESE IDEALS.

HASTINGS RIVERTOWN FISHING SERVES SENIORS, VETERANS, AND THE DISABLED IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH FISHING AND BOATING EXCURSIONS. OUR PONTOON BOAT, CAPTAINED AND CREWED BY SEVERAL DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS, TAKES TRIPS ALONG THE BEAUTIFUL ST. CROIX AND MISSISSIPPI RIVERS. OUR MISSION IS TO ALLOW THE GROUPS WE SERVE TO ENJOY THE JOYS OF FISHING AGAIN, OR JUST A BOAT RIDE ON A SUNNY DAY.
