JUSTIFIED ANGER - JUSTIFIED ANGER IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN-LED, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN INITIATIVE TO REDUCE RACIAL DISPARITIES IN MADISON, WISCONSIN. THE GOAL IS TO CREATE A MOVEMENT THAT WILL UNITE LEADERSHIP, VISION, POLICY, AND STRATEGY TO IDENTIFY THE GAPS IN SERVICES AND AREAS OF NEED AND THEN PLAN AND IMPLEMENT A LONG-TERM STRATEGY TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE OF COLOR IN MADISON.


REENTRY - NEHEMIAH PROVIDES A WIDE ARRAY OF CULTURALLY COMPETENT AND RELEVANT SERVICES TO MEET THE REENTRY NEEDS OF MEN WHO ARE LEAVING JAIL OR PRISON. IT OFFERS EMERGENCY AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING ALONG WITH REENTRY AND RECOVERY COACHING TO HELP EX-OFFENDERS SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITION BACK INTO OUR COMMUNITY.


YOUTH LEADERSHIP - NEHEMIAH RUNS A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS THAT COMBINE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TECHNIQUES, DRUG AND ALCOHOL PREVENTION, AND STEM LEARNING INTO A CULTURALLY RELEVANT EXPERIENCE FOCUSED ON AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH. ITS K-12 PROGRAMS WORK IN THE SCHOOLS AND IN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. ACE, BROTHER, MID, AND LIGHT COVER CHILDREN FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL. ITS ALLIED CHOIR AND GENESIS PROGRAMS CENTER THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS IN THE COMMUNITIES THROUGH SINGING, TEAM BUILDING, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS.
