AS A MEMBER OF SINAI HEALTH SYSTEM, SINAI COMMUNITY INSTITUTE, INC. IS A HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO PROVIDING HOSPITAL AND HEALTH SYSTEM PUBLIC SOCIAL SERVICES AND RESOURCES THAT IMPROVE OUR COMMUNITY'S HEALTH STATUS.

FAMILY SERVICESSINAI COMMUNITY INSTITUTE (SCI) PROVIDES FAMILY CASE MANAGEMENT LINKAGES TO SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES PRIMARILY AVAILABLE FOR INFANTS AND PREGNANT WOMEN. BETTER BIRTH OUTCOMES PROVIDES HEALTH SERVICES TO PREGNANT WOMEN THAT ARE AT HIGH RISK. WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC) INCLUDES NUTRITION EDUCATION AND THE DISBURSEMENT OF FOOD VOUCHERS TO ELIGIBLE PARENTS, INFANTS AND CHILDREN UP TO 5 YEARS OF AGE, SERVING OVER 48,000 CLIENTS ANNUALLY.
FAMILY EDUCATIONTHESE PROGRAMS OFFER TO PARENTS THE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES THEY REQUIRE TO RAISE THEIR CHILDREN IN OUR COMPLEX COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS ALSO OFFER COMMUNITY OUTREACH TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF NORTH LAWNDALE CHILDREN UNDER AGE 5 RECOMMENDED TO RECEIVE IMMUNIZATIONS BEFORE ENTERING KINDERGARTEN. AFTER SCHOOL SERVICES PROGRAM TARGET THE COMMUNITY, CHALLENGING YOUTH ARE ASSISTED WITH HOMEWORK AND JOB READINESS. THE SUMMER PROGRAM EMPLOYS YOUTH FOR THE SUMMER FROM OUR UNEMPLOYED COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM SERVES OVER 250 CLIENTS ANNUALLY.
SENIOR SERVICESTHESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE SCI ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES WHICH PROVIDES HEALTH, SOCIAL AND ECONOMICAL SERVICES TO SENIORS AND DISABLED ADULTS. THESE PROGRAMS OFFER SOCIAL AND HEALTH RESOURCES TO ASSIST SENIORS WITH RETAINING INDEPENDENT AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES AND IS ALSO AN INTENSIVE CARE ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT FOR AT RISK SENIOR SERVING OVER 500 CLIENTS ANNUALLY.
SOCIAL SERVICES & OTHERSINAI COMMUNITY INSTITUTE PROVIDES OTHER PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT HEALTHY MINISTRIES, HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (I.E. COVID-19 PROGRAMS), AND COMMUNITY INTERNSHIPS RANGING FROM GRAMMAR SCHOOL, TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND TO COLLEGE GRADUATES. THESE PROGRAMS SERVED OVER 1.3M PARTICIPANTS IN FY21.
