Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE NEIGHBOR'S PLACE FOOD PANTRY SERVED OVER 25,000 PEOPLE IN MARATHON COUNTY IN 2021.
OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED AT THE NEIGHBORS' PLACE INCLUDE OUR COMMUNITY GARDENS, WHEELS AGAIN, AND BASIC NEEDS.
THE BASIC NEEDS BANK STRIVES TO MEET BASIC NEEDS. TOO MANY FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY ARE UNABLE TO MEET EVEN THE MOST MINIMUM OF NEEDS. SERIOUS ECONOMIC OBSTACLES, LACK OF FAMILY SUPPORT, EVICTIONS, CULTURAL BARRIERS, LITERACY BARRIERS, WEATHER, ABUSE, AND MANY OTHER UNFORESEEN OR UNCONTROLLABLE EVENTS LEAVE COMMUNITY FAMILIES IN DESPERATE NEED. AT THESE TIMES OF CRISIS, FAMILIES CAN BE LEFT WITH LITTLE OR NOTHING. OUR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY HELP, AND THEN TO CONNECT THESE FAMILIES IN NEED WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE HELP AND ITEMS TO GIVE.
