TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY. THE NEW PRAGUE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS A GROUP OF APPROXIMATELY L75 BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT SHARE THE MUTUAL GOAL OF KEEPING NEW PRAGUE A VITAL PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK.

DOZINKY FESTIVAL: FOR OVER 30 YEARS, THE CHAMBER HAS ORGANIZED THE DOZINKY FESTIVAL. THIS IS A LARGE COMMUNITY EVENT HELD ON THE THIRD WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER. FRIDAY NIGHT FESTIVITIES INCLUDE A CLASSIC CAR CRUISE, WHERE HUNDREDS OF CLASSIC CARS CRUISE MAIN STREET, FOLLOWED BY A STREET DANCE FEATURING LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT AT THE CHAMBER BEER GARDEN. ON SATURDAY, THE CZECH-FLAVORED FESTIVAL BEGINS WITH AN OPENING CEREMONY IN THE CZECH VILLAGE. FOOD AND MERCHANDISE VENDORS OPEN UP AT 10:00 AM AND SERVE UNTIL 5:00 PM. AT NOON, A PARADE OF FARM PRIDE IS HELD TO HONOR OUR AGRICULTURAL AND CULTURAL ANCESTRY. DUE TO COVID-19 THE 2020 DOZINKY FESTIVAL WAS NOT ABLE TO BE HELD.
HALF MARATHON: EACH MAY, THE NEW PRAGUE HALF MARATHON, 10K, AND 5K IS HELD. ALMOST 500 RUNNERS PARTICIPATE IN THE RACES. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN TAKING PLACE SINCE 1985. IT IS ONE OF THE OLDEST INDEPENDENT HALF MARATHONS IN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. DUE TO COVID-19 THE HALF MARATHON WAS HELD AS A VIRTUAL EVENT.
OTHER COMMUNITY PROMOTIONS: EACH YEAR, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ALSO ORGANIZES SMALLER PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE SHOPPING LOCAL AND COMING TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY. WE ADMINISTER THE NEW PRAGUE CZECHS PROGRAM, WHICH IS GIFT CERTIFICATES THAT ARE USABLE AT ANY CHAMBER-MEMBER BUSINESS. WE PRODUCE "CZECH OUT NEW PRAGUE" - IT SHOWCASES AREA BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS - AND IT'S FREE TO THE PUBLIC. DURING THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON - BETWEEN THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS - WE COOPERATIVELY ADVERTISE HOMETOWN HOLIDAY. IT'S A MARKETING CAMPAIGN WITH PRIZE DRAWINGS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON KEEPING SHOPPING LOCAL. THE CHAMBER IS BUSY ALL YEAR LONG PROMOTING LOCAL BUSINESSES AND PUTTING ON LOCAL EVENTS. WE HAVE A LONG TRADITION OF FINE EVENTS AND HOPE TO CONTINUE THOSE INTO THE FUTURE.
