PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES PROGRAM: THE RED WING FAMILY YMCA OFFERS MEMBERSHIPS AND PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS, RACE, AGE, ABILITIES, AND INCOME. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE YMCA ANNUAL SUPPORT CAMPAIGN.
CAMP PEPIN SERVES OVER 1000 CHILDREN PER SUMMER IN A TRADITIONAL YMCA FORMAT. SPECIALTY AREAS INCLUDE THEATER, SAILING, ROCK CLIMBING, CANOEING, BIKING, HIKING, HIGH ROPES AND CHALLENGE COURSES. FEES ARE CHARGED AND NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO AN INABILITY TO PAY. RED WING YMCA INCLUDED A CAMP ACCESS GRANT PROVIDING ASSISTANCE FOR HALF OF A FIRST TIME CAMPER'S FEE ALONG WITH SCHOLARSHIPS WHICH ARE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE YMCA ANNUAL CAMPAIGN.
PRESCHOOL PROGRAM SUNSHINE CORNER PRESCHOOL IS A LICENSED PRESCHOOL WITH STATE CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS SERVING 90 CHILDREN. CURRICULUM INCLUDES ARTS, GROUP FIELD TRIPS, GROUP ACTIVITIES, STORIES, GYM TIME, SPANISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION, AND PARENTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE. FEES ARE CHARGES AND YMCA SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO AN INABILITY TO PAY. PEACHTREE CHILD CARE BEGAN OVER SEVEN YEARS AGO AND STILL REMAINS STRONG SERVING ALMOST 100 CHILDREN.
