HEALTH AND WELLNESS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS - HELPING PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES DEVELOP HEALTH IN SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY IS AT THE CORE OF THE YMCA MOVEMENT. OUR PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE CREATE REALISTIC GOALS FOR SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND EMPHASIZE DISEASE PREVENTION THROUGH REGULAR EXERCISE, PROPER NUTRITION, STRESS MANAGEMENT, AND HEALTH EDUCATION, SPORTS PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH, TEENS, AND FAMILIES, TO PROMOTE TEAMWORK, INTERACTION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL SKILLS.
CHILDCARE AND CAMPING - OUR PROGRAMS PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY SCHOOL-AGE CHILDCARE WITH COMPREHENSIVE ACTIVITIES, BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL, INCLUDING FULL AND PART-TIME OPTIONS, TO SERVE A WIDE RANGE OF FAMILY NEEDS. YMCA CHILDCARE PROGRAMS ASSIST FAMILIES IN BALANCING WORK AND FAMILY COMMITMENTS, MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR PARENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT WORK BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEIR CHILDREN ARE BEING WELL CARED FOR AT THE Y. THE YMCA DAY CAMP PROGRAM PROVIDES EXPERIENCES THAT MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON THE CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM. DAY CAMP EXPERIENCES BUILD CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN THE CHILDREN AND TEENS WHO ATTEND CAMP.
AQUATICS - THE YMCA IS THE PRIMARY PROVIDER OF AQUATIC PROGRAMMING IN OUR COMMUNITY, TEACHING HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN HOW TO SWIM AND HOW TO BE SAFE AROUND WATER. BEGINNING AT AGE 6-MONTHS THROUGH HIGH-SCHOOL, OUR TRAINED AND COMMITTED STAFF PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY INSTRUCTION IN A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. WE TEACH CHILDREN OF ALL ABILITIES TO DEVELOP SWIMMING SKILLS WHILE DEVELOPING SELF-CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER.
YOUTH SPORTS - THE YMCA PROVIDES QUALITY YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. WE GIVE EVERYONE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AND LEARN. OUR COACHES STRESS THE YMCA CORE VALUES OF RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, CARING AND HONESTY. WE PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ANY CHILD WHO CANNOT AFFORD A YMCA MEMBERSHIP.
