THE HUTCHINSON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS ENGAGED IN THE PROMOTION OF AREA BUSINESSES AND ACTIVITIES THROUGH PUBLIC AWARENESS, EDUCATION, CIVIC, AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS. A VARIETY OF EVENTS AND PROGRAMS ARE HOSTED ANNUALLY TO SUPPORT VARIOUS INDUSTRIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO : AG SEMINAR, DAIRY DAYS, ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL, CRAZY DAYS, GOLF CHALLENGE, BRING IT HOME EXPO, AND MUSIC IN THE PARK.
ITS DIVISION, THE HUTCHINSON AREA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU, RECEIVES FUNDING FROM CITY OF HUTCHINSON LODGING TAXES TO PROMOTE THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON AS A TOURIST DESTINATION. THE VISITOR GUIDE IS PUBLISHED TO AID TOURISTS WITH AREA ATTRATCTIONS AND CURRENT EVENTS. MARKETING ADS ARE USED IN A VARIETY OF PUBLICATIONS, AND EVENTS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO DRAW PEOPLE TO HUTCHINSON. THE CHAMBER SUPPORTS LARGE EVENTS WHICH ALSO DRAW NUMEROUS PEOPLE TO OUR AREA.
