WE PROVIDE RESOURCES THAT EMPOWER WOMEN AND MEN TO CHOOSE LIFE FOR THEIR UNBORN CHILD THROUGH MEDICAL SERVICES, PRACTICAL SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND A MATERNITY HOME. WITH COMPASSIONATE CARE, WE FOSTER HELP FOR TODAY, HOPE FOR TOMORROW AND HEALING FROM THE PAST.

WOMEN'S HEALTH SERVICES - IN 2021, FIRST CARE CLINIC PROVIDED 940 APPOINTMENTS, TWENTY-SIX PERCENT OF THOSE WERE ON OUR MOBILE CLINIC. NURSES PERFORMED 258 PREGNANCY TESTS, 191 ULTRASOUNDS, AND TESTED PROVIDED 497 VISITS FOR TESTING OR TREATMENT OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS. RECOGNIZING THE IMPORTANCE OF SERVING THE WHOLE PERSON, 185 PATIENTS RECEIVED SPIRITUAL CARE DURING THEIR VISITS. OUR MOBILE CLINIC SERVES FOUR LOCATIONS: WEST MADISON, FITCHBURG, SUN PRAIRIE AND WISCONSIN DELLS. OUR CALL VOLUME INCREASED BY 31% IN 2021. WE PROVIDED PHONE COUNSELING AND VIDEO BASED EDUCATION AND CHILD-BIRTH EDUCATION CLASSES DUE TO THE RESTRICTIONS CREATED BY COVID 19.
MATERNITY HOME - THE ELIZABETH HOUSE IS A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM TO HELP PREGNANT AND NEWLY PARENTING MOTHERS PREPARE FOR A FRESH START IN LIFE. THE ELIZABETH HOUSE PROVIDES, FREE OF CHARGE, ROOM AND BOARD, CASE MANAGEMENT, CLOTHING, TOILETRIES, DIAPERS, AND OTHER NECESSITIES OF LIFE. RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE IN EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING INSTRUCTION THROUGH THE CLINIC'S BEST BEGINNINGS PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, RESIDENTS WORK WITH CASE MANAGEMENT STAFF TO SECURE TRAINING IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, VERBAL LITERACY, JOB PREPAREDNESS, HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT, AND MORE. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE SPIRITUAL SUPPORT AS WELL, AND MANY RESIDENTS ACCEPT AND/OR GROW IN THEIR CHRISTIAN FAITH. SUCCESSFUL GRADUATES HAVE SECURED A SAFE, AFFORDABLE PLACE TO LIVE, ARE STABLE AT WORK OR SCHOOL, AND HAVE CHOSEN APPROPRIATE CARE FOR THEIR CHILD. IN 2021 WE SERVED 25 WOMEN AND THEIR BABIES, PROVIDING A TOTAL OF 2,837 DAYS OF SHELTER AND SUPPORT.
EDUCATION - OUR BEST BEGINNINGS PROGRAM OFFERS EDUCATION TO PREGNANT AND NEWLY PARENTING WOMEN AND MEN IN THE AREAS OF PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH, INFANT SAFETY, AND PARENTING.78 PARENTS ATTENDED 540 LESSONS RELATED TO PREGNANCY AND PARENTING, DELIVERED ONE-ON-ONE OR IN A GROUP SETTING BY OUR EDUCATION MANAGER, NURSE OR PARENT ADVOCATE. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, MANY OF THESE LESSONS WERE CONDUCTED VIA ZOOM. UPDATED CURRICULUM ALLOWS US TO DELIVER LESSONS BOTH ON AND OFFSITE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR CLIENTS' NEEDS ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH TRANSPORTATION BARRIERS. OUR FATHERHOOD PROGRAM PROVIDED CONSOLATIONS AND LESSONS FOR MEN, MOSTLY CONDUCTED OVER THE PHONE OR VIDEO CHAT. WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS THOUGH ONE-ON-ONE LESSONS VIA ZOOM DURING THE PANDEMIC, AN IN-PERSON THROUGH OUR "SAFE PEOPLE" PROGRAM AT THE ELIZABETH HOUSE.
EAGLE HARBOR HOUSING - THE CENTER PROVIDES SECTION 42 AFFORDABLE, WORK-FORCE HOUSING TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AS WELL AS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE CENTER'S CLINIC. DAYCARE FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES THROUGH ON-SITE DAYCARE.
