TO PROVIDE QUALITY MUSICAL INSTRUCTION FOR YOUTH AGES 7-18.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
26 WEEKS OF VOICE TRAINING AND REHEARSALS FOR 48 MEMBERS (LOW MEMBERSHIP DUE TO THE PANDEMIC). TUITION ASSISTANCE WAS AWARDED TO 9 STUDENTS TOTALING $1,350. TUITION ASSISTANCE IS BASED UPON FAMILY INCOME, NUMBER OF MEMBERS IN THE FAMILY AND SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE WAS BASED ON 2020 POVERTY LEVELS.
TOURING IS DONE BY THE AUDITIONED, TOURING CHOIRS EACH SUMMER. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, OUR TOURS TO NEW ORLEANS AND CHICAGO/INDIANAPOLIS WERE CANCELED.
WE SERVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH LIVE PERFORMANCES IN DECEMBER AND APRIL, AT SENIOR LIVING FACILITIES, SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES, SPORTING EVENTS, AND MORE. DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, WE DID HAVE TO CANCEL MANY EVENTS AND CONCERTS IN OUR 2020-2021 SEASON.
