HAYO-WENT-HA CAMPS - PROVIDING PROGRAMS WHICH HELP TO DEVELOP STRONG FAMILIES, YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING TO ALL PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, INCOME, ABILITIES AND RELIGIOUS BASIS. SUMMER CAMPS (SINGLE GENDER) - THE CAMPS OFFER TWO AND FOUR WEEK OPTIONS TO BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 9 - 17. WORKING CLOSELY WITH DIVERSE, INTERNATIONAL CAMP STAFF, CAMPERS HAVE A FULL DAY OF PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES, WHICH COULD INCLUDE SWIMMING LESSONS, SAILING, CHALLENGE COURSES, NATURE STUDIES, ARTS AND CRAFTS, HORSEBACK RIDING AND ATHLETICS. IN ADDITION TO SKILL DEVELOPMENT, YMCA HAYO-WENT-HA CAMPS STRIVE TO INSTILL FOUR BASIC CHARACTER VALUES: CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY. THESE VALUES ARE THE TOUCHSTONES OF ALL INTERACTIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS AMONG EMPLOYEES AND CAMPERS, AND THEY ARE TAKE HOME TO FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES. IN 2021, SUMMER CAMPS SERVED 765 GIRLS AND BOYS. CAMPERSHIPS, BASED ON FAMILY NEED AND VALUED AT MORE THAN $153,144 WERE AWARDED TO 86 BOYS AND GIRLS FROM UNDERSERVED FAMILIES. DURING THE YEAR, MORE THAN 94 CHILDREN AND ADULTS UTILIZED THE CAMPS FOR WEEKEND RETREATS AND PROGRAMS. PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS - OVER 1,650 HOURS WERE DONATED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
