PERFORMANCES OF CHORAL MUSIC AT VARIOUS VENUES IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. CHORUS IS COMPRISED OF ABOUT 100 AUDITIONED VOLUNTEERS SHARING AN ABIDING LOVE OF MUSIC. THE 100 VOLUNTEER SINGERS DONATE THEIR ENTHUSIASM AND VOICES AT WEEKLY REHEARSALS FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH MID-MAY EACH YEAR, WITH ADDITIONAL PRACTICE TIME PRIOR TO MAJOR PERFORMANCES. ALL TOLD, ABOUT 10,000 HOURS ARE CONTRIBUTED BY THE VOLUNTEER SINGERS EACH YEAR, WHICH AT GENERALLY ACCEPTED ESTIMATES OF THE VALUE OF VOLUNTEER TIME ($24.14/HOUR), COME TO MORE THAN $240,000 IN DONATED SERVICES ANNUALLY.
