THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, LITERARY AND RELIGOUS PURPOSES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, TO ACQUIRE, PRESERVE AND MANAGE OPEN SPACE AND WILDLIFE HABITAT AREAS; TO PROMOTE A CONSERVATION ETHIC AND WISE USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES; TO GUARANTEE HUNTING AND FISHING ACCESS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC; TO ACTIVELY MANAGE WILDLIFE HABITAT TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY OF ANIMAL SPECIES; TO PROMOTE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AND LAND STEWARDSHIP PRACTICES; TO ASSIST ANY OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION OR GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY TO ACCOMPLISH ANY OF THE FOREGOING PURPOSES; AND TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANY OF THE FOREGOING PURPOSES.

DURING 2022, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED TO RECEIVE REVENUE FROM ITS MASSACHUSETTS HABITAT AND HERITAGE VANITY LICENSE PLATE ($17,328). THE PLATES ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR SALE TO ANY MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS AT THE MASSACHUSETTS REGISTRY OF MOTOR VEHICLES. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO MARKET THESE PLATES TO THE PUBLIC SINCE IT IS A SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND BECAUSE IT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST 1,500 PLATES ISSUED IN ORDER TO HAVE ITS BOND RELEASED WHICH WAS REQUIRED AS PART OF THE PROGRAM. AS A RESULT OF THIS MARKETING EFFORT, THE ORGANIZATION INCURRED ADVERTISING AND MARKETING COSTS ($1,835) TO ALLOW FOR THE PLATES TO BE MARKETED.IT ALSO INCURRED THE COST TO PAY FOR A BOND TO ENSURE THAT ALL THE PLATES WILL BE ISSUED. THE BOND COST $6,000 FOR A TWO YEAR PERIOD.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PERFORMED HABITAT IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHELON CONSERVATION AREA BY SPENDING $935 TO PLANT CHESTNUT TREES. THIS EXPENDITURE WAS FUNDED BY A GRANT FROM WHITETAILS UNLIMITED OF APPROXIMATELY THE SAME AMOUNT. THE ORGANIZATION INCURRED $723 OF REAL ESTATE TAXES FOR THE NEW LAND OWNED IN CONWAY AND BUCKLAND MASSACHUSETTS.OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES INCLUDED COSTS TO ATTEND SPORTSMEN'S SHOWS ($2,215), OFFICE ($253) LIABILITY AND DIRECTORS & OFFICERS INSURANCE ($3,281), MEMBERSHIP IN LAND TRUST ALLIANCE ($300) AND STATE FILING FEES ($144).
